Jackets & Blazers
Blazers, also known as the “uniform jacket,” are the perfect addition to any modern man’s look. The versatility of how the blazer can be worn is remarkable. The ability to dress it up for a business meeting or luncheon by dressing it with a nice tie and button-down shirt. Or sticking casual and enhancing an outfit by pairing a blazer with some nice shoes, dark jeans and a t-shirt for date night or even a night out with friends. The multiple ways to style and wear a blazer are growing more and more each day, and we have to say we love the “business casual” look.
Fit
Like all clothing, the fit is extremely important. This deciphers not only the comfort of the outfit but also the appearance. Too big of a fit then it is easy to look washed out or bunched up, and too tight of a fit and things can easily be thrown out of proportion, or even tear if you aren’t careful. Understanding which fit is the right option is of course a personal preference, but also what actually offers the perfect “fit” for your body type and style.
Most men will traditionally go for the modern or classic fit when it comes to blazers as well as suits. This means that the blazer provides a wider fit around the shoulders and a longer length in the blazer overall. The classic fit is common within the workplace and works hand in hand with the size of a man’s chest. When wearing a classic fitted blazer, expect there to be a decent amount of more room than the “in trend” and sought-after fit that is the slim fit.
Men today are stepping up in the fashion industry and making bold choices with what they are wearing. They are diving deep into style and know what they want. Although the “slim fit” trend has been around for numerous years (remember when men started wearing skinny jeans?), more frequently we are now seeing men leaning more towards that perfectly tailored and slim fit jacket - a great example of this is the "Ronaldo" Navy Solid Slim Fit Blazer by Paul Betenly. When wearing slim fit, men will notice that the jacket is more form-fitting, cut and of a shorter length than the classic fit they have all been used to. Slim fit provides a sleek, professional and chic look that men are so badly craving.
Colors
Blazers and jackets are a staple for men that date all the way back to the 1800s! Traditionally worn in competitive sports by men that held a higher or elite standard. When it comes to colors, just like anything else, there are multiple prints and colors that are provided for different occasions, styles, and preferences. But, back in the day, these jackets were purchased and worn in one singular solid color.
The most popular and customary color for a blazer (that we believe makes the ultimate polished man) is the navy colored blazer. Navy blazers, like the Baroni Blue Blazer with Mother Of Pearl Buttons provides the standard and classically chic look that has been worn for years. Another option that is an option geared towards the modern man is a black blazer. Black blazers, much like the Tiglio "Novello" Black Blazer are closet staples that never go out of style. It provides a more formal and clean-cut look that is easily styled and accessorized by the suitor and the finished look he is hoping for.
Blazers are a standard and timeless item that all men (and even women) should have in their closet. With the capability to be styled and worn in so many different stylish or traditional ways, this jacket is a fundamental part of being a trendy and fashionable polished man.
